Product Description |
| Always know what time it is. The Sony ICF-C218 Automatic Time Set Clock Radio has a 0.9" green LED display, which is easily viewable from across the room, but takes up very little space on your nightstand. It hosts a number of features including automatic time set, automatic Daylight Savings Time adjustment, built-in calendar, AM/FM tuner and full power memory back up. The correct EST (Eastern Standard Time) has been preset at the factory, so just plug the clock in and adjust the time zone as necessary. In the case of a power interruption, the built-in Lithium battery maintains the correct time so when the power returns you don't have to re-set the clock. |

Decent clock but is NOT atomic
|

When I first bought this it showed up under a search for atomic clocks.
This is a fine clock radio that automatically adjusts for daylight time, but it is NOT atomic. |
its fine

| It works. Doesn't sound that great for radio. A little confusing at first. Can't beat it for the price. |

| My alarm clock was loud and old. This clock is compact and the alarm is pleasant sounding when it goes off (if you can believe that). Easy to set and very reliable. |
Nice Sony radio/alarm clock ---- low price

| Good price. The time is bright enough and easy to see at dark. I have them for my bathrooms and living room. Time setup automatically, easy to adjust. |
Jars Me Awake
|
| Review Date: February 28, 2010 |
| Reviewer: W. Easley, Colorado Rocky Mountains |
Sometimes I fall asleep in my lounge chair and wake up stiff and sore in the wee hours of the morning. As a result I do not get enough restful sleep. I have tried setting the alarm on my watch and my PDA, but neither are loud enough to awaken me and send me to bed.
My doctor suggested I find a device to jar me awake and I searched for such a device. At first I didn't consider a radio, because I have several other excellent appliances for listening to music, and I seldom listen to the radio unless I am driving in my car. After awhile I found this Sony clock radio.
This radio is easy for me to use. I set the clock radio to a station that plays loud and uncomfortable (to me) music. I set it and it always awakens me. I have to get up and cross the room to turn off the alarm.
I recommend this radio. Not only is the sound quality very good, but it performs well as an alarm.
