Great paddle
|

this is the great paddle design and fits comfortably in the hands.
i am just going to mention a few cosmetic specific to the red paddle:
it is a great shade of red I am very pleased with it. One thing i did not like though is the LED port indicator (the 1 2 3 4 thing) it glows through the plastic housing unlike the black version and doesn't look too great.
overall it is a pretty cool paddle. |
Ergonomics

| Overall, I would say this is a great controller. My only complaint is how it feels in your hands. It just isn't all that comfortable, not terrible, but not great either. I think the Xbox 360 and gamecube controllers feel much better in my hands. It would be nice if they could keep the controller basically the same, but make it a little more ergonomic. |
White Controller

| I recently bought the white controller (at wal-mart because at the time the price was the same as here, sorry amazonians) and it looks absolutely sharp. I personally think it's the best looking PS3 controller out of all of them. It definitely stands out due to the dark buttons. Go get one! |
Solid Red Plastic Looks Great

I was so pleased to learn that Sony resolved their legal issue with "Dual Shock" rumble. Now this feels so much like the controller I have grown used to. It has a good weight to it now and the rumble and new six axis features work very well together. Actually I had a Wii and the six axis features of the Wiimote (like in MarioKart) seem to be not as precise or user friendly as Sony's are.
As for the red color, I was worried it was painted, but no the plastic is through and through red, solid red. And the red is the God of War red (in my opinion) so it is pleasant on the eye.
I am still not very pleased with the L3 and R3 buttons, they feel awkward, but I couldn't really tell you how to better implement these extra buttons either. |
