Great Headphones

Review Date: July 12, 2010
Reviewer: Nevets,
I bought these because I have an 18 month old and live in a smaller sized Condo. I was sick of having to turn up and down the volume on movies when she was sleeping. These sound great and I have had my little girl actually sleep on my lap while watching Pacific with bombs going off. One draw back is how to connect them to an entertainment system. I needed the sound to go mute on the speakers and could not connect directly to the Satellite box or DVD player. I bought a simple converter cable that turned the "headphones" connection from my receiver into the typical Red/White RCA connection and it works perfect. You can get it for cheap money at a Radio Shack. Overall very happy with the sound and so far battery life. I do not use them while surfing the net on my Wi-Fi so I can't attest to the interference some have experienced with the RF. However, they do shut down if I run the microwave.? Weird but I tried to make popcorn one night and they just cut off when I turned it on. Well worth the money for what I needed them for.
Wireless for a price

Review Date: July 10, 2010
Reviewer: J. Fields,
Construction: They really feel loose and the plastic seems a lot cheaper than other headphones I own. So far they have held up well to use. But, considering the price, I'm a little disappointed in how they are made.

Setup: Easy

Comfort: When I first saw them, I thought they would be too loose and fall off my head during use. But this hasn't really been an issue. Reading other reviews, I realize that a lot of headphones are uncomfortably tight for some people. I suspect Sony has tried to find a happy medium with this pair.

Sound quality: Sound is good. It's a really nice experience listening to movies or playing games with these. It's definitely bigger than standard stereo but maybe not as enveloping as a high end surround system with multiple speakers. I'm still quiet satisfied.

Problems: The Wireless signal on these headphones are disrupting the WiFi signal on my Xbox 360. When using these, I'm unable to connect to Xbox live. I've read other reviews mentioning this. Apparently it's common.
Worthless for computer use

Review Date: July 1, 2010
Reviewer: C. Pilliod,
These headphones emit a constant beeping noise if they receive no sound for a little while. This makes them absolutely worthless for daily computer use where it is normal for audio to be intermittent. Since they don't have a power button, you have to take them entirely off. Putting in an audio warning to indicate there is no audio is incredibly stupid. I can tell on my own when there's no sound, DUH! I'm really shocked there were so few complaints about this in the other reviews. My 3 year old IR headphones could be left on 8 hours a day with no problem, they're just starting to wear out the IR leds. I was hoping for these to be a decent replacement, and looked in vain for a way to disable the beeping. I can't express just how disappointed I am with such an unforgivable defect. Also, the range is not really that impressive. I can't go much more than one room away without the sound cutting out.
WOW, what an excellent set of Headphones

ok,
i have had these for almost a month now and i am very happy. they sound great and they are very comfortable to wear. at first i didnt think much of these because of the "pleather" material around the ear, but i watched a 2 hour movie and i never touched them once to adjust at all. i have a large head 7 5/8" and these worked excellent. the sound quality was top notch, i have it hooked up by way of fibre optic cable directly into my tv. i think i am gonna purchase another pair for my main tv because i like them that much.....
better than others

Review Date: May 25, 2010
Reviewer: rrr,
I almost didn't buy these after reviewers said wireless internet connections would be inhibited. When I first turned on the headphones my PC lost communication with all wireless networks....but I finished the headphone setup, cycled power, and haven't had a problem since. I hope others at least took the 5 minutes to decide whether their problem was permanent or temporary. The headphones aren't super-comfortable, but I've never worn any that are. They fit a bit loose - will fall off if I bend over. The sound is extremely good and they latch into the base station better than my old Audiovox set. These aren't perfect but I've never seen anything I would call better. I'd buy them again.
