| This is a great mouse. It fits my hand like a glove, its controls are all relivent and in perfect placement. And it's really great for gaming, too. If you're looking for the perfect mouse, this is your lucky day! |
Almost Revolution grade

| This mouse is a replace to my VX revolution. The MX1100 is a bit heavy for my liking but it's quite responsive and having on the fly DPI adjustment helps. I'd recommend this if you can live with a heavy desktop mouse. |
Great mouse

| Out of all Logitech's offerings, this is my favorite. It's comfortable, accurate, and has all of the buttons I'm looking for. Hint: use the Logitech software to remap the DPI adjustment on top to be volume control instead. |
It filled my need perfectly

I needed a mouse that would compliment my cadd program. The extra buttons that are configurable
did just what I wanted. I am pleased. |
Nice Customization , Yet Not So Comfortable Design

Here is my Pro and Con review:
-PRO
1. Great customization capability
Logitech mouse setting allows you to customize any button for what you wish them to do
except for left and right mouse buttons. For instance, I set the left shift on the scroll in the middle of the mouse to
do a COPY, and the right one to CLOSE THE TAB on Firefox web-browser. Also, I set a scroll to PASTE when I press it down.
These look like small things, but if you use these keys often on keyboard, it can be handy for you. Also, you can set
those individual buttons for each different software like Microsoft Word, Power Point, Photoshop, iTunes, and etc.
2. Easy DPI setting
The mouse features DPI setting located on the left corner on the mouse, indicated with + and - sign.
What it does is to set the speed of your mouse on the screen. I was attracted to this feature because I use Photoshop often,
and when I use painting and masking tools, I would like to make the mouse move very slow to get all the details on the image.
This is very useful if you work on Photoshop or Illustrator and etc.
3. Fast scrolling
There is a button below the scroll. This is basically acts like a "break" on the scroll. If you release the "brake",
the scroll will spin really really fast just like a wheel on a bicycle keeps spinning when it is turned upside down. If you are
skimming through a Word document, PDF file, Power Point that has 100 pages or something, it comes in handy to let the scroll
spin in a free motion so the page will keep going to the end.
-CON
1. The mouse is BIG
I am male and do not have significantly small hands. Yet, I found this mouse EXTRA LARGE. When I try to hit the
FORWARD button located near by the thumb, I can easily click both FORWARD and BACK button all together. I just do not think that
people with small hands can comfortably work on this mouse.
IMPROVEMENT: I realized that I was holding the mouse like I used to with a smaller one. For this one, you have to place entire palm
on to it, while you rest your wrist on a mouse pad for regular-size mice. I know feel it very comfortable now.
2. Right-click is TOO SENSITIVE!!
The right-click can be easily pressed down compared to other mouses that I have experienced. If you
try to rest your fingers on the mouse, meaning that your fingers weigh completely onto the mouse, you will likely to accidentally press the
right-click.
IMPROVEMENT: I taped a small piece of regular plastic tape from the right-click button to the right edge of the mouse. It reduced
the sensitivity and clicks like a normal mouse now. NO MORE STRESS!!
3. The mouse is HEAVY
The first thing I felt when I opened the package was that the mouse is about 3 times heavier than a normal mouse even
without the batteries inside. I have to give extra force to move the mouse than other mouses so I lose accuracy to hit the point and
end up going back and forth over it. |
