| I was given this camera as a gift and have been very disappointed. I had to send the camera back within three months of receiving it because the LCD failed to work, after sending the camera back to the manufacturer and waiting for over 5 weeks for the camera to be repaired I was sorely disappointed. The picture quality was less than impressive but is far worse since its supposed repair. Because this small camera is a little costly I would pass on this model and purchase a competitors product. |

Nikon Quality in a small package

I purchased this camera when my Kodak Z1275 quit working. I have small grand kids, so NOT having a working camera is not an option.
I wanted a small easy-to-carry camera with HD video recording capabilities. I had seen the commercials for the Coolpix S70 and it looked like a good candidate for me. I ordered it on-line form Amazon and it arrived at my home in a reasonable amount of time.
I put it through its paces after charging the battery for a few hours. The on-screen display was intuitive and easy to use. Pictures can be taken using a button on top of the camera or by tapping the touch-screen. The scene selection arsenal is adequate for anything I need to do with a camera these days. The 5x optical zoom is a nice addition to have in such a small camera. The quality of the still pictures HD videos is very good. The battery life is surprising long for a camera that has no optical view-finder (the screen has to be turned on to take pictures).
To sum things up - this camera is small, well built and captures high quality images.
I'm very pleased with every aspect of this camera, and highly recommend it.

I bought this camera for my husband's birthday and was a little hesitant due to some of the reviews. He does not have use of his fingers, but uses his knuckles for anything with a touch-screen application. Some applications recognize the knuckle and others don't.
This camera was awesome!!! He uses it with ease and has loved being able to take pictures! The touch-screen zoom, flash, review, etc is all extremely accessible. The picture quality is great 90% of the time. You can always default to using the "button" on top of the camera to take pictures. The battery life is excellent and really the whole product is a dream come true. |

| This thing is great!! Takes some amazing pics!! So many features!! And touchscreen!! Woot! Don't read the stupid retarded posts about the camera not taking good pics. There is so many adj you can do to the camera it's almost like the big brothers of this nikon dude!! If you want a small camera to take around that takes amazing pics this is it!! I was just in puerto Rico, grand Turk, st. Thomas and Bermuda!!! Took over 2000 pics with it and uploaded them right to my iPad on the trip!! What I am saying is if you want fast portable amazing good looking pics then this is it!! Have fun!!! =D |
