No coupons for consumer electronics?

Why don’t they offer promotional codes for electronics items?

Well, it maybe a Amazon tradition.

Another reason is market competition. Today, the profit rate of consumer electronics is lower than other kinds of products, as I know, for example, Dell only had 4% of profit in 2007, which is still the top higher profit rate in the industry. So that it is hard to offer buy one get one coupon in this category, and if they offer $10 off coupon for a computer, it won’t attract any customer. That’s the reason why you hardly see any coupon codes in Amazon electronics products.
